Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Hebrews 10:4-10 “4 For blood of bulls and goats [is] incapable of taking away sins.5 Wherefore coming into the world he says, Sacrifice and offering thou willedst not; but thou hast prepared me a body.6 Thou tookest no pleasure in burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin.7 Then I said, Lo, I come (in [the] roll of the book it is written of me) to do, O God, thy will.8 Above, saying Sacrifices and offerings and burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou willedst not, neither tookest pleasure in (which are offered according to the law);9 then he said, Lo, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first that he may establish the second;10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Hebrews 10:12-13 “12 But *he*, having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down in perpetuity at [the] right hand of God,13 waiting from henceforth until his enemies be set [for the] footstool of his feet.”
Isaiah 53:4-10 “Surely *he* hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; and we, we did regard him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all.7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, but he opened not his mouth; he was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and was as a sheep dumb before her shearers, and he opened not his mouth.
8 He was taken from oppression and from judgment; and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of my people was he stricken.9 And [men] appointed his grave with the wicked, but he was with the rich in his death, because he had done no violence, neither was there guile in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath subjected [him] to suffering. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see a seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.
Luke 23:39-43 “39 Now one of the malefactors who had been hanged spoke insultingly to him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us.40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost *thou* too not fear God, thou that art under the same judgment?41 and *we* indeed justly, for we receive the just recompense of what we have done; but this [man] has done nothing amiss.42 And he said to Jesus, Remember me, [Lord,] when thou comest in thy kingdom.43 And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
