The prophet Jeremiah speaks of a God who delights in loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness. This same God, in His great love, reached out to a world that had turned away from Him. Over 2,000 years ago, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to bring salvation to sinners. Throughout the Gospel story, we see His loving-kindness in mercy, His judgment in justice, and His righteousness in truth—revealing His unchanging character and His desire to redeem the world.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Jeremiah 9:23-24 “23 Thus saith Jehovah: Let not the wise glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty glory in his might; let not the rich glory in his riches:
24 but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I [am] Jehovah, who exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.”
1 John 5:19-20 “19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the wicked [one].
20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that [is] true; and we are in him that [is] true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”
