Jesus tells us in the Gospel of Matthew to “Seek ye first the kingdom of God” and he promises blessing if obey his words. What are your priorities? Often as Christians we can take our eyes what really matters. Jesus said seek God’s Kingdom, follow Him and he will come in blessing.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Matthew 6:31-34 “31 Be not therefore careful, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we put on?32 for all these things the nations seek after; for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.34 Be not careful therefore for the morrow, for the morrow shall be careful about itself. Sufficient to the day [is] its own evil.”
Mark 10:17-22 “17 And as he went forth into the way, a person ran up to [him], and kneeling to him asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?18 But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? no one is good but one, [that is] God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.20 And he answering said to him, Teacher, all these things have I kept from my youth.21 And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, One thing lackest thou: go, sell whatever thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, [taking up the cross].22 But he, sad at the word, went away grieved, for he had large possessions.”
