God is sending out the message of the Gospel that you might be SAVED. King Belshazzar organised a party in his palace that ran late into the night. Suddenly fingers of a man’s hand began to write on the wall “MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN”. King Belshazzar and his advisors couldn’t interpret the handwriting on the wall but God provided an interpreter, the prophet Daniel.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Daniel 5:1-6 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his nobles, and drank wine before the thousand.2 Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines, might drink in them.
3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines, drank in them.4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
5 In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.6 Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, and the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.
Daniel 5:25-28 “25 And this is the writing that is written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE, God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it;27 TEKEL, Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting;28 PERES, Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”
Luke 23:39-46 “39 Now one of the malefactors who had been hanged spoke insultingly to him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us.40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost *thou* too not fear God, thou that art under the same judgment?
41 and *we* indeed justly, for we receive the just recompense of what we have done; but this [man] has done nothing amiss.42 And he said to Jesus, Remember me, [Lord,] when thou comest in thy kingdom.43 And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.44 And it was about [the] sixth hour, and there came darkness over the whole land until [the] ninth hour.45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple rent in the midst.46 And Jesus, having cried with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. And having said this, he expired.”
Acts 26:18-2018 to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.19 Whereupon, king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision;
20 but have, first to those both in Damascus and Jerusalem, and to all the region of Judaea, and to the nations, announced that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.
Acts 26:28-29 “28 And Agrippa [said] to Paul, In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian.29 And Paul [said], I would to God, both in little and in much, that not only thou, but all who have heard me this day, should become such as *I* also am, except these bonds.”
