The Gospel points you to a saviour for sinners who came to this earth to bring salvation for mankind. Who is this? The Bible tells there is only one name under heaven by which we must be saved and it is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
John 19:1-5 “19 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and scourged [him].2 And the soldiers having plaited a crown of thorns put it on his head, and put a purple robe on him,3 and came to him and said, Hail, king of the Jews! and gave him blows on the face.4 And Pilate went out again and says to them, Lo, I bring him out to you, that ye may know that I find in him no fault whatever.5 (Jesus therefore went forth without, wearing the crown of thorn, and the purple robe.) And he says to them, Behold the man!”
Luke 2:8-14 “8 And there were shepherds in that country abiding without, and keeping watch by night over their flock.9 And lo, an angel of [the] Lord was there by them, and [the] glory of [the] Lord shone around them, and they feared [with] great fear.10 And the angel said to them, Fear not, for behold, I announce to you glad tidings of great joy, which shall be to all the people;11 for to-day a Saviour has been born to you in David’s city, who is Christ [the] Lord.
12 And this is the sign to you: ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling-clothes, and lying in a manger.13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good pleasure in men.”
