God is holy and righteous. Each one of us has fallen short of His glory because of our sins, but the wonderful news of the Gospel is that God has provided a Savior. Who is this Savior? The Bible points to the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son, who came into this world to save sinners.
Jesus laid down His life for sinners like you because He loved you. Throughout all of history, there has been no greater love ever shown than the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. In our sins, we have all fallen short of God’s holy standard. One sin can keep us out of His holy presence, but God has demonstrated His love for us: “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
God is seeking you. God sent His son, Jesus Christ as a Saviour for sinners and he came into to seek and to save the the lost.
Often, we can feel overwhelmed by the pressures and challenges of the Christian pathway. God desires for us to be overcomers for His glory. How do we overcome the pressures of sin, the flesh, and the devil? What is the secret power of the overcomer? The scriptures point us to the Lord Jesus, the great Savior who overcame the world. Our sins have separated us from a holy and righteous God, and the scriptures say, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” God is speaking to you in the Gospel, and He desires to give you a new heart. How? The Lord Jesus came into this world as a Saviour for sinners. He went to Calvary’s cross, where He took the punishment for our sins upon Himself to bring salvation for you. Through this great sacrifice, God is able to cleanse the sinner and give you a new heart because of the wonderful work of Jesus.
