Many people in this world are looking for happiness and they will go to great lengths to find it. The Gospel is preached that you may find joy in the saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us the way to find joy is to come to Jesus and accept him as our Saviour and Lord.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Luke 2:8-14 “8 And there were shepherds in that country abiding without, and keeping watch by night over their flock.9 And lo, an angel of [the] Lord was there by them, and [the] glory of [the] Lord shone around them, and they feared [with] great fear.10 And the angel said to them, Fear not, for behold, I announce to you glad tidings of great joy, which shall be to all the people;11 for to-day a Saviour has been born to you in David’s city, who is Christ [the] Lord.12 And this is the sign to you: ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling-clothes, and lying in a manger.13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good pleasure in men.”
Luke 15:1-7 And all the tax-gatherers and the sinners were coming near to him to hear him;2 and the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This [man] receives sinners and eats with them.3 And he spoke to them this parable, saying,4 What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until he find it?5 and having found it, he lays it upon his own shoulders, rejoicing;6 and being come to the house, calls together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep.7 I say unto you, that thus there shall be joy in heaven for one repenting sinner, [more] than for ninety and nine righteous who have no need of repentance.”
Luke 15:10 “Thus, I say unto you, there is joy before the angels of God for one repenting sinner.”
Acts 8:4-8 Those then that had been scattered went through [the countries] announcing the glad tidings of the word.5 And Philip, going down to a city of Samaria, preached the Christ to them;6 and the crowds with one accord gave heed to the things spoken by Philip, when they heard [him] and saw the signs which he wrought.7 For from many who had unclean spirits they went out, crying with a loud voice; and many that were paralysed and lame were healed.8 And there was great joy in that city.”
Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by [the] power of [the] Holy Spirit.”
