In this address, you will hear what scriptures record about the Lord Jesus going before. From the Gospel accounts, you will read about Jesus and his pathway that led to Jerusalem. It was there on a cross HE willing laid down his life to redeem us to God.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Mark 10:32-34 “32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on before them; and they were amazed, and were afraid as they followed. And taking the twelve again to [him], he began to tell them what was going to happen to him:33 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered up to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him up to the nations:34 and they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him; and after three days he shall rise again.”
Hebrews 6:17-20 “17 Wherein God, willing to shew more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of his purpose, intervened by an oath,18 that by two unchangeable things, in which [it was] impossible that God should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us,
19 which we have as anchor of the soul, both secure and firm, and entering into that within the veil,20 where Jesus is entered as forerunner for us, become for ever a high priest according to the order of Melchisedec.”
John 10:1-5 “Verily, verily, I say to you, He that enters not in by the door to the fold of the sheep, but mounts up elsewhere, *he* is a thief and a robber;2 but he that enters in by the door is [the] shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.4 When he has put forth all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.5 But they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, because they know not the voice of strangers.”
