In this Address, you will hear of five scriptures that refer to Gates. The Lord Jesus delights in those who are faithful to Him. As you listen to this recording I trust you will be strengthened as God’s Word is taught.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Luke 7:11-15 “And it came to pass afterwards he went into a city called Nain, and many of his disciples and a great crowd went with him. And as he drew near to the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she a widow, and a very considerable crowd of the city [was] with her. And the Lord, seeing her, was moved with compassion for her, and said to her, Weep not; and coming up he touched the bier, and the bearers stopped. And he said, Youth, I say to thee, Wake up. And the dead sat up and began to speak; and he gave him to his mother.
Isaiah 28:5-6 “In that day will Jehovah of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the remnant of his people; and for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.”
Psalm 87:1-7 “His foundation is in the mountains of holiness. Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion more than all the habitations of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah. I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon among them that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: this [man] was born there. And of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her. Jehovah will count, when he inscribeth the peoples, This [man] was born there. Selah. As well the singers as the dancers [shall say], All my springs are in thee.”
Revelation 22:14 “Blessed [are] they that wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life, and that they should go in by the gates into the city.”
Revelation 22:16-17 “*I* Jesus have sent mine angel to testify these things to you in the assemblies. *I* am the root and offspring of David, the bright [and] morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come; he that will, let him take [the] water of life freely.”
