The Lord Jesus has taken the place of Saviour and the Good News of the Gospel is that Jesus is the Saviour of Sinners. The Bible says “all have sinned a fallen short of the glory of God” and so Jesus came into this world that the sinner might be forgiven and brought into a living relationship with God. He is able to save completely by the work he victoriously won at the cross. On the cross, the bible says “He became sin for us” that means he took our place on the cross that there may be Salvation for mankind. Which we can receive by repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Samuel 23:15-17 “15 And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me to drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is in the gate!16 And the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, which is in the gate, and took it, and brought it to David; however he would not drink of it, but poured it out to Jehovah.17 And he said, Be it far from me, Jehovah, that I should do this thing! is it not the blood of the men that went at the risk of their lives? Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.”
