The Gospel is a message about a person the Lord Jesus Christ. He came from heaven and journeyed to the cross where he suffered and died. Why did he go to the cross? The simple answer is “for YOU”. Our sins separate us from the presence of God because he’s holy. But Jesus came and took our sins on himself so we might be brought back into a relationship with God.

Romans 10:8-10 “But what says it? The word is near thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved.For with [the] heart is believed to righteousness; and with [the] mouth confession made to salvation.”
Hebrews 12:1-2 “Let *us* also therefore, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, laying aside every weight, and sin which so easily entangles us, run with endurance the race that lies before us, looking stedfastly on Jesus the leader and completer of faith: who, in view of the joy lying before him, endured [the] cross, having despised [the] shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Isaiah 35:7-10 “And the mirage shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of wild dogs, where they lay down, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And a highway shall be there and a way, and it shall be called, The way of holiness: the unclean shall not pass through it; but it shall be for these. Those that go [this] way—even fools,—shall not err [therein]. No lion shall be there, nor shall ravenous beast go up thereon, nor be found there; but the redeemed shall walk [there].And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come to Zion with singing; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
