For the believer, there is hope beyond the grave in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is not a wishful dream or a cunningly devised fable but our hope is real in the Saviour, Jesus Christ who has died but lives again. Oh, what a hope.
This word was given at the Burial Meeting of Clara White on Thursday 24th February 2022.
Bible Scriptures:
Psalms 77:1-3 To the chief Musician. On Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A Psalm.
“My voice is unto God, and I will cry; my voice is unto God, and he will give ear unto me.2 In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord: my hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; my soul refused to be comforted.
3 I remembered God, and I moaned; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.”
Psalms 77:13 “13 O God, thy way is in the sanctuary: who is so great a god as God?”
Psalms 77:19 “19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths are in the great waters; and thy footsteps are not known.”
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 “13 But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are fallen asleep, to the end that ye be not grieved even as also the rest who have no hope.14 For if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again, so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.15 (For this we say to you in [the] word of [the] Lord, that *we*, the living, who remain to the coming of the Lord, are in no way to anticipate those who have fallen asleep;
16 for the Lord himself, with an assembling shout, with archangel’s voice and with trump of God, shall descend from heaven; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;17 then *we*, the living who remain, shall be caught up together with them in [the] clouds, to meet the Lord in [the] air; and thus we shall be always with [the] Lord.18 So encourage one another with these words.)”
Romans 14:7-9 “7 For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.8 For both if we should live, [it is] to the Lord we live; and if we should die, [it is] to the Lord we die: both if we should live then, and if we should die, we are the Lord’s.9 For to this [end] Christ has died and lived [again], that he might rule over both dead and living.”
