The Bible tells us that the human heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. This is a result of sin coming into the world after the devil tempted Adam and Eve. The Good news in the Gospel is that God desires to give you a new heart. Over 2000 years ago, Jesus came into the world to save sinners who died at Calvery cross to redeem us to God.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
John 3:1-17 “But there was a man from among the Pharisees, his name Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews;2 he came to him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou art come a teacher from God, for none can do these signs that thou doest unless God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born anew he cannot see the kingdom of God.4 Nicodemus says to him, How can a man be born being old? can he enter a second time into the womb of his mother and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.7 Do not wonder that I said to thee, It is needful that *ye* should be born anew.”
Ezekiel 36:26-28 “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances, and ye shall do them.28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “17 So if any one [be] in Christ, [there is] a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new:”
Romans 6:4 “We have been buried therefore with him by baptism unto death, in order that, even as Christ has been raised up from among [the] dead by the glory of the Father, so *we* also should walk in newness of life.”
Isaiah 43:18-19 “Remember not the former things, neither consider the ancient things:19 behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste.”
Hebrews 9:15 “And for this reason he is mediator of a new covenant, so that, death having taken place for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, the called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.”
2 Corinthians 3:6 “who has also made us competent, [as] ministers of [the] new covenant; not of letter, but of spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit quickens.”
John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.35 By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.”
Revelation 21:1-3 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea exists no more.2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice out of the heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he shall tabernacle with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, their God.”
